Mindy Kaling’s New Book: Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?
November 9, 2011 by Daniel Beyfuss
Mindy Kaling, writer, actor, producer, and comedian, is adding author to her growing list of credits. Her new book is called Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?, and she describes it as a little bit of a memoir, with some comedy essays, complaints, observations about Jewish men, and some other things you’ll have to read the book to find out. One thing is certain – the book is funny.
And this book isn’t just funny, it’s informative. Kaling offers some much needed advice to both men and women on subjects ranging from buying the right jeans to elevator etiquette. Kaling has always said that she never feels any pressure to be funny and that her humor comes from a desire to tell the truth about things…silly, everyday things. Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? is filled with those quirky little bits of everyday life we can all identify with and enjoy being reminded of by someone who really understands the underlying humor.
Check out this bit about “revenge fantasies,” read by Kaling herself:
