Manchester City

Heading the market is English champions Manchester City, who under Pep have quickly establish themselves as the dominant force in England. They have kicked on again this season following their record breaking title winning run last season. However this competition is the one they want to win, and they have already guaranteed progression following the draw with Lyon. If they can bring their A game to this competition then they are going to take a lot of stopping in lifting the trophy come the end of the season.

Barcelona

The five time champions league winners and current Spanish champions are many peoples favourites for the competition. They have been in fantastic form this season as Messi has continued to play a starring role in the competition. They have already guaranteed topping Group B, ahead of the final fixture against Tottenham. If they can continue their run of form then they rate as one of the favourites to land the title for the first time since 2015.

Juventus

The dominant Italian champions have long been at the cusp of winning this competition again. Yet the wait continues since back in 1996. They are one of the current in form sides in Europe and are set to be a major force in the competition this season. With Ronaldo now adding to their side this could just make them the favourites for the title. His impact has been shown as Real Madrid continue to struggle since his departure over the summer. Juventus have a two point lead over United going into the final group fixture, so will be expected to progress through as group winners.

PSG

The French champions continue on their incredible run this season as they are simply levels above any other side in France. However this competition has been the one the owners want, and this has been the reason behind the sacking of many of the previous managers. They are coming off the back of a victory over Liverpool which now puts them in a very positive position re progressing through. They have one of the most formidable attacking lines in world football, so are going to be a major threat to any side in the competition. Could this be the year they finally land the champions league title?
