The 2018 Cheltenham festival finally arrived and it is now time for the horses to do the talking on the track. With the continued uneasy weather the ground is becoming more likely to be on the softer side which may scupper many horses’ chances. One horse that is likely to be affected is the Cheltenham Gold Cup 2018 favourite Might Bite. The 9 year old trained by maestro Nicky Henderson has been the favourite for the race since his King George win over Christmas. Most of his form as been on better ground so if it does become testing on top of his possible stamina doubts it would be a big negative.
This is also coupled in the fact that he badly hung across the track on the run in when clear in the RSA. He then ran on again in the final 90 yards and somehow got back up ahead of stablemate Whisper by a nose. This was a staggering performance showing the horses class but if he did this again this would likely lead to defeat against the best around the Gold Cup. Check out this quiz and see if you can guess the famous owner from their star horse heading to the 2018 festival.
